 Nigeria Union of journalists, Osun state council invites members of the fourth estate of the realm and general public to a day virtual  workshop with the theme "Journalism under siege in Nigeria,the urgency and justification for media activism"

Iwo palace was filled to the brim Friday afternoon by residents and indigenes of the town in solidarity with their embattled king, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi. Some videos of a petition allegedly signed by 12 out of 13 kingmakers passing a vote of no confidence on the monarch went viral on social media.
