Osun 2018: Existential Challenge Awaits Voters

The All Progressives Congress in Osun has alerted people of the state that 'in 2018, they will be confronted with existential challenge. 'They will have to choose between continuity of progressive governance or a return to the era of unparalleled failure of political leadership, which the PDP inflicted on the state for seven years'. According to the APC,  'this is a momentous challenge hanging over Osun, like a sword of Damocles'. The party also emphasized that, 'The choice has to be right for Osun to keep in the right direction and excellence'. These assertions were contained in a signed statement by Kunle Oyatomi, the party's Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, made available to the media in Osogbo today. OSHA calls IBEDC a scam

The Osun State House of Assembly has described the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company as scam just as it is branded a moribund organization by some consumers. This was a fall out of unsatisfactory reponse by the management of IBEDC on permanent power outage in some communities in Osun state. The House had summoned the management of the IBEDC in Osun state following a motion of matter of urgency raised by members representing Osogbo, Olorunda and Egbedore state constituencies. Twenty Eight communities under the Oluode feeder have been in total blackout in about two months without any hopes of having their electricity restored by the IBEDC. Appearing on the floor of the House on Monday, the management of the IBEDC claimed to be working on how to restore electricity to the affected areas but for the huge amount of funds involved. They disclosed that the board of directors of the company has approved funds for the reconducturing of the affected feeder.
